I have found a new love and it is lino!
After initially learning briefly about lino cutting at school with little interest,
I have rediscovered this wonderful stuff.
I think of a design and sometimes a rhyme ( oh no )
and then draw it onto my lino -
not forgetting (although sometimes i do) to do it all backwards including the writing
Heating it to soften the surface I chisel out around my design
leaving only the image that I wish to print.
I then roll the ink onto my design, place the paper flat over the top
and then squeeze it all through my press.
Now it all becomes very exciting, I can hardly breathe with excitement.....
I lift the paper to reveal my new image and...
hope it's a good one!!

I studied art at Kent Institute of Art & Design at Canterbury, Kent.U.K.
and then went on to do a degree in Printmaking & Social Sciences at Christchurch.

After some good travelling and living in London,
I am currently living in Broadstairs, kent, U.K.
with my husband and 2 lovely girlies.
